University of Alberta Year One Foundation Program

University of Alberta Year One Foundation Program

When you join the University of Alberta’s Year One Foundation Program, you’ll be a U of A student from day one. You’ll receive the academic support that sets you up to enter a bachelor’s degree program in your second year and get a “soft landing” to studying in Canada!

What is the Year One Foundation Program?

The University of Alberta’s Year One Foundation Program is the first year of a four-year bachelor’s degree. It’s designed for students who have course deficiencies, meaning they don’t yet meet the academic entry requirements for their chosen degree program. When you successfully complete the program, you’ll progress straight into the second year without losing any time on your way to graduation!
