For many years, Pace University has been committed to the study of Artificial Intelligence. As AI becomes a standard tool for many industries beyond computer science, Pace equips you to not just adapt, but to become a leader in an increasingly AI-driven world.
Here’s how Pace can help you build your AI expertise while you earn your degree, giving you a powerful edge in the job market.
AI education available to every student
From Fall 2024, all first-year bachelor’s students at Pace can complete an AI course as part of their core curriculum, regardless of their chosen major. Whether you’re a law student, studying an art major, or preparing for a career in nursing, you’ll be supported to become AI literate during the first year of your studies.
By ensuring AI education is available to students, Pace is responding to a fast-growing world where AI is becoming a key part of almost every sector. You’ll pick up valuable knowledge that helps you thrive in a workforce that is increasingly dependent on the flexibility, speed and efficiency that AI brings.
Cutting-edge resources and learning at Seidenberg
Located in the heart of Lower Manhattan, the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems is perfectly equipped to give you a first-class technology education. You can study bachelor’s and graduate programs focusing on a wide range of areas, from cybersecurity and game development to software development and telecommunications.
While earning your degree at this school, you’ll have access to some incredible facilities — including Seidenberg’s soon-to-be-launched artificial intelligence lab. This state-of-the-art facility will serve as the main hub for AI at Pace, creating unique opportunities for hands-on learning where students collaborate with faculty and the wider New York City technology community.
On top of this exciting new space, there are many other labs that give you the chance to learn and grow. Some of these include:
- The Cybersecurity Lab
- The Location Analytics and GIS Lab
- Pace Mobile Lab
- Pervasive Computing Lab
- The Robotics Lab

Get job-ready during your degree
As you earn your AI-related degree at Pace, you can start preparing for your career right away. Not only do you learn from industry experts; you can join the Seidenberg AI Internship Experience — one of 9,000+ internships, co-ops and field experiences available to Pace students each year.
During this paid internship, you’ll research generative AI technologies, then apply this knowledge to create your own image-generating AI models. With guidance from Pace alumni and Career Services, you’ll gain real-world experience of developing AI models, while also unleashing your creative potential.
Past students, for example, have created technologies that generate images of different butterfly species, while a different team developed a model that could recognize different Pokémon!
On top of that, by studying in Lower Manhattan — in the middle of New York City’s financial district — you’ll be surrounded by thriving technology enterprises and other multinational headquarters. There are thousands of opportunities right on your doorstep! It’s therefore no surprise that Pace is 20% ahead of the US average rate of student employment.

Learn how to use AI ethically and responsibly
With AI’s increasing presence in everyday life, Pace takes care to ensure that its curriculum addresses the ethical implications of AI. You’ll be prepared to not only use AI tools, but to also understand their impact on society. This includes focusing on areas such as data privacy, algorithm bias, and the impact of AI on individuals, such as artists whose work is used to train image generating models.
Pace faculty will also show you how AI can be a driving force for positive innovation, such as applying machine learning to medical imaging that detects osteoarthritis and breast cancer. You could also join Blue CoLab — a team of students, interns, graduate assistants and faculty who work to advance technology that protects human and environmental health from water contamination.
Whichever path you choose, Pace ensures you’re equipped to use AI tools in a responsible way.
