Don’t know what to study?
If you aren’t sure about what to study, don’t worry! It’s normal for UVic
students to spend their first year on campus exploring academic disciplines
to find a major that’s a good fit. If you apply to any program in the faculties of
Humanities, Science or Social Sciences, you’ll be “undeclared” in your first year
and have the opportunity to choose a major later.
Want to study law?
UVic has pre-law advising for undergraduates who are interested in pursuing
law at the graduate level. Students can choose any major for the first three
years. UVic Law admits students from a wide variety of programs — everything
from fine arts to computer engineering! Admission is competitive, with both
GPA and LSAT scores evaluated.
