Student housing at the University of Victoria
At UVic, student housing is more than just a place to live — it’s where you can find support, build community and make friends. If you are beginning your studies in September of your graduating year, apply for housing by the deadline, and have not attended any post-secondary studies, you are eligible for UVic’s first-year residence guarantee.
There are a limited number of residence spaces for upper-year undergraduate and graduate students. Accommodation for these students will be determined by UVic’s undergraduate and graduate housing lotteries.

Living on campus
It’s important to note that the style of housing and the types of amenities available will vary among residences. Your on-campus housing options will vary based on your academic year and degree level.
For students living in single or double dormitory rooms, a residence meal plan is required. Students living in Cluster housing, Pod-style housing or dormitory apartments may purchase a meal plan from University Food Services.
