UVic pathway program

UVic Pathway Program

A specialized one-year program that combines degree-level courses with advanced academic English classes. This allows you to meet the University of Victoria’s language requirements without increasing the time it takes to get your undergraduate degree.

Who is the UVic Pathway Program for?

Hosted by the English Language Centre (ELC) at UVic, the UVic Pathway Program is for students who are ready to start their degree, but don’t yet meet the University’s English language requirement.

There is no need to make a separate application for the UVic Pathway Program; when you apply to a degree program, you will be offered admission to the Pathway Program if you fit the criteria.

What will I study?

When you’re enrolled in the UVic Pathway Program, you’ll take first-year bachelor’s degree courses alongside academic English classes, so you’re prepared to progress to year 2 of your degree program.

You can choose from four streams: Business, Engineering & Computer Science, Science, or Social Sciences.
