Programs at Pace University
There are several different options for students interested in a degree at Pace University in New York. Depending on your academic background, you may qualify for degree admission or transfer admission. If you don’t meet all the degree entry requirements, you may be able to join a degree preparation program at Pace.

OPTION 1
Degree admission
Apply through Kaplan to be admitted directly into a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at Pace University.
The best option for you if:
- you already meet all the entry requirements for a degree program.
OPTION 2
Transfer admission
Apply through Kaplan to transfer into year 2 or 3 of a bachelor’s degree program at Pace University.
The best option for you if:
- you have already begun your studies at another university or college.
- you have earned university credits that you can transfer toward a degree at Pace University.
- Degree admission is the best option for international students who already meet the minimum entry requirements for a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at their preferred university.
- Through Kaplan, you can apply directly to a degree program without any extra academic or English preparation. We can advise you on degree requirements, and help you navigate both the application and student visa processes.
OPTION 3
Global Pathways program
This degree preparation program is for undergraduate and graduate international students who need to improve their English language level and/or academic skills to begin their chosen degree program.
The best option for you if:
- you don’t meet the English language or academic requirements to begin a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
- you’d like to earn transferable credits before starting full-time studies in your chosen Pace degree program.
OPTION 4
Intensive English Program (IEP)
Join this English preparation program on Pace’s New York City campus and improve your language skills so that you meet the requirements for Pace’s Undergraduate or Graduate Global Pathways programs.
The best option for you if:
- you need to increase your English language level in order to begin Global Pathways at Pace University.
- Degree preparation refers to programs or courses — sometimes called “pathway” programs — intended to help students improve their English language, academic grades and/or subject knowledge skills.
- There are different kinds of degree preparation programs, and all options are designed to help you prepare for full-time studies at university and/or meet degree entry requirements.
