University of Oregon English preparation
If you are conditionally admitted to a University of Oregon (UO) degree program and are unable to provide an updated English test score, you’ll first need to join an Intensive English Program at the on-campus American English Institute (AEI). Once you’ve successfully completed the program, you’ll be fully admitted to your degree program.
What is the American English Institute?
The American English Institute (AEI) is based on campus at the University of Oregon. It’s home to UO’s Intensive English Program, which you’ll be required to join if you’re conditionally admitted to a degree program at the University.
As well as English support from expert tutors, you’ll benefit from a personally assigned “Conversation Partner” to practice with. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to practice your English outside the classroom too, by taking part in fun activities like mini-golf, ice skating and day trips to the Oregon coast.
